WHERE DO “GODS” COME FROM?

Where do “the gods” come from?  Throughout the history of human civilization on Earth their have existed many thousands of gods.  It can be observed that there are as many “gods” as there are people to “believe” in them.  And, it can be observed that every sentient being is “a god” with the god-like ability of create and perceive their own “universe”.
But, who are the professional creators of “gods”?  Who earns a living by persuading other people to give them money to “intercede” between a “believer” and “the god, or gods” created by a “religious professional”?   Self-appointed and self-anointed priests, ministers, shaman, channelers, seers, sooth-sayers, prophets, druid, flamen, hoodoo, lama, magus, priest-doctor, votary, etc., each share a common “calling”:  to act as a “representative” of “god”.   There have been thousands of organized religious groups in history.  Each of these groups are formed and administered, and profit from the “business” of religion.
More wars have been fought, more lives have been destroyed and more ignorance and superstition have been created, taught and enforced in the name of a “god” than all other sources combined.  Factually, ever war in a religious war.  Every nation fighting in wars is “blessed” by priests, and “protected” by a “god”.  The combatants of many wars (World War 1 and World War II) are “blessed” by the same priests and the same “god”.  Apparently, war is “good business” of “religious professionals” and “gods”.
The traditional duties and practices of the “religious professional” is to CREATE mythology, lies, half-truths, superstition, fear and mystery in order to CONTROL the “believer”.  Without control they cannot pay their bills, feed themselves, buy expensive costumes, build enormously ornate monuments to inspire awe and fear of the “gods” they have created.  Of course all of these activities are smothered in AESTHETICS.  Beauty is the most effect enticement and trap for the “believer”.  Think about out it….  Beautiful music, ceremonies, buildings, symbols, costumes, mythology, illusions, angels, ascended masters, the beautiful “afterlife”, etc., etc….
In the so-called New Age, it is conceived that every individual is an immortal being or  the “a god”.  Therefor, you can form your own organization, be your own priest and “believe” in your self.  You can even start a war and kill other “gods” or “believers” if they don’t “believe” in you!
However, if you want to be a “god” on Earth you will need to write a “religious text” so other people can read it and be indoctrinated “believe” in you, and adopt you as their god.  There are hundreds of “religious texts” written by self-appointed “religious professionals”.  Usually these texts, like the Bible, were written a very long time ago by “anonymous” or unknown authors who the “religious professionals” insist are “the word of Our God, the ONLY god”.  In fact, all gods are the “Only God”, depending on which “religious professional” you consult.
Obviously, this must be very easy to do as so many billions of people want to “believe” in a “god”, but not in themselves as a “god”.  This is very sad.  However, it can be very profitable for self-appointed “religious professional” whose vocation is to convince you that YOU are NOT a “god”.  If you want to “believe” in a “god”, save yourself a lot of time, money and stupidity:  believe in YOURSELF!

BURNING BOOKS

libraryalexandriaI recently re-read a book from my personal library about the destruction of the greatest library of antiquity in Alexandria, Egypt, The Vanished Library, by Luciano Canfora.  Because I write books, I also read books.  Books are a gateway to intellectual and spiritual freedom.

Although my personal library shelves contain only several hundred volumes, it is estimated by various sources that the Library at Alexandria housed tens of thousands of scrolls amassed by Ptolemy that were added to the sacred library of Ramses II, Pharaoh of Egypt!  (c. 1300 BCE)   At the time of it’s destruction there were reported to be more than 45,000 hand-written books, gathered from all of the civilized word — translated into Greek — and housed in a single building.

In 640 AD, this priceless library was burned at the order of Muslim Caliph Omar.  When the general of his army asked the Caliph what to do with the books of the library, the Caliph responded:

“If their content is in accordance with the book of Allah, we may do without them.  If they contain matter not in accordance with the book of Allah, there can be no need to preserve them. Proceed then, to destroy them.”TRINITY COLLEGE LIBRARY DUBLIN

At that time the city of Alexandria had 4,000 public baths.  The water for the baths was heated by underground stoves or furnaces.  “The books were distributed to the public baths of Alexandria, where they were used to fuel the stove which kept the baths comfortably warm.  ….It took six months to burn all that mass of material.”  Only the writings of Aristotle were spared from the flames.

As has so often been the case in the history of Earth, religious fanaticism — the enemy of knowledge and freedom — was the cause of destruction of precious accumulated knowledge, technology and wisdom recorded by literate scientists, mathematicians, artists, philosophers and scholars.  The modern destruction by the United States of the priceless Library of Baghdad, the burning of books and burying of scholars under China’s Qin Dynasty, the destruction of Aztec codices by Itzcoatl, the Nazi book burnings, the Spanish Inquisition, and many others psychotic episodes serve to keep humanity stupid, superstition and enslaved by ignorance.

However, in 2013 we live in an age of unprecedented information access.  There are thousands of libraries all around the world.  The internet is a vast library of information that contains nearly every book that has ever been written!  (Of course there are huge numbers of “heretical” books that  have been burned by Caliphs or Nazis or hidden in the Vatican library or the Smithsonian Institute.)  However, in spite of intellectual terrorism, superstition, religious fanaticism, and government mind-control agendas, we are living in an unprecedented age when books are freely available in abundance!  All we need to do is read them.

“I read the most excellent treatise and critique of that superstitious body of mythology written by the American revolutionary, Thomas Paine. Although Mr. Paine is not a popular fellow in Britain, having fathered the uprising against King George which resulted in the loss of the greatest possession ever claimed by the throne of England, he is nonetheless a man of preeminent intellect and prodigious reasoning ability.

His book, The Age of Reason; Being an Investigation of True and *Fabulous Theology, to my own system of logical assessment and evaluation represents the most thorough, factual and incontrovertible dissection of the Bible, which unfortunately serves our civilization as a guideline for survival.  After having read his preeminent work of logical vivisection upon the content of the Bible, and by abstraction, a commentary upon the paradigm of Western Civilization, it is no longer a mystery to me that humanity has endured so great an extent of war, misery, chaos, greed, destruction and mayhem inflicted by Western imperialism upon the Earth at the behest of, and with regal and religious blessings.

As for my personal observation and conviction concerning the matter of religion, I concur with the statement most ably stated by  Thomas Paine himself:

“I hope for happiness beyond this life. I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavouring to make our fellow-creatures happy.  I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish Church, by the Roman Church, by the Greek Church, by the Turkish Church, by the Protestant Church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.  I do not mean by this declaration to condemn those who believe otherwise; they have the same right to their belief as I have to mine. But it is necessary to the happiness of man that he be mentally faithful to himself. Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe.”

PARASITICAL INSANITY

“Count Dracula, and his kindred spirits, may be considered to be “evil” from the point of view of mankind.  However, apart from the prejudice of the human victims who do not desire to serve as food for others who drink their blood, the vampire can not be considered to be anything other than an immortal spiritual being, attempting to persist and survive in a quasi-corporeal form.

I esteem that there is only one principle difference between a human being who eats a roasted chicken or pork or beef, and a vampire who drinks the living blood of a human being.  That is, that the vampire, by consuming the living blood, derives a more sustainable form of energy than the man who eats the dead flesh of an animal.

The man who eats dead meat lives 65 years, his own spirit is confined inside a fragile piece of flesh, with little or no self-awareness regarding his potential capabilities as a spiritual entity. Whereas, the vampire, consuming only the living blood of its victim, maintains an extreme spiritual power and ability, as well as physical strength and longevity which borders upon immortality!

Who is to say which condition is more or less desirable? There seems to me to be absolutely no limit to the inanity and credulity of the human race. Homo Sapiens! Homo idioticus!

Yet, it is entirely understandable that men do not trouble themselves with grotesque speculations as to the nature of life beyond the grave.  They have enough to do in this world. Life is a beautiful thing. The man who appreciates its beauties enjoys a sufficient understanding of life without dabbling in religions or spiritualism.

Religion is a fraud which have been exposed a hundred times and yet priests continue to find fresh crowds of foolish devotees whose insane credulity and superstitious prejudice make them impervious to all rational arguments.  One can only leave them to seek destinations of their singular Fates, which they have been predetermined for them.

Unless we practice eternal vigilance against these vampires, we will continue to be afflicted and effected by the contagion of their parasitical insanity.  The vitality of every civilization which has crumbled into disrepair and dust was drained of life by these diabolical beings!”
