We are inside the Physical Universe looking out to find the origin of our being. We long for a place we feel certain must exist; a place where there is no trouble. We wait for wizards and witches to show us the way home. Yet we fear to close our eyes and click our heels to see the Universe Within.

With the Olympic Games nearly upon us, it is an appropriate time to brush up on our Greek history lessons.  Ancient Greece is the origin point of much of the language, culture, mythos and logic of modern Western culture.  Here is a very insightful and entertaining series of videos that tour the Greek Islands with excellent instructional presentation, cinematography and narration.  Visit Greece from the comfort of your computer.  The enchanting hostess for the series is Joanna Lumley.  You will understand a lot more about why we think, speak and act the way we do today as an extension of ourselves beginning 3,000 years ago.  Originally,  “westerners” meant “West of China and India”, which were the source point of really sophisticated civilization.  By comparison people living in “the West” were barbarians.  The same may be said today.
