A brilliant demonstration of how a misunderstood word can have crazy consequences:
“O Fortuna” is a medieval Latin Goliardic poem written early in the thirteenth century, part of the collection known as the Carmina Burana. It is a complaint about fate and Fortuna, a goddess in Roman mythology and personification of luck. In 1935-36, O Fortuna was set to music by the German composer Carl Orff as a part of his cantata Carmina Burana where it is used as the opening and closing number. “O Fortuna” topped a list of the most-played classical music of the past 75 years in the United Kingdom.

My friend, Ernesto Lacalle is an architecural engineer, amatuer UFO enthusiast and translator of the Spanish language edition of the book Alien Interview. He has “reverse engineered” (from low-resolution video images) a hypothetical model of a type of UFO craft that has been reported at various times and in various countries around the Earth. For American natives it was a “Demon”. For Australian Natives it was the “Rainbow Serpent”. Europeans in Middle Age called it the “Devil”. Around mid-day on April 27, 1961, Bruno Ghibaudi, a scientific journalist, was driving the highway paralleling the beach at Montesilvano (Pescara), felt a flat tire and pulled his car over and stopped. As he began changing the bad tire, and as he was working at that task, he noticed an unusual metallic-looking disc- shaped flying objectcoming in at a low level over the ocean. This beautifully produced NOVA documentary reveals the Earth from the OUTSIDE, with breathtaking beauty and details which it is NOT POSSIBLE to perceive with a human body. Video and non-visual data from more than 100 satellites orbiting the Earth which measure different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, and amalgamated into information we can “see” without the limitation of your very inadequate eyeballs! I highly recommend this film as a exercise in “consciousness expanding”. It make one aware of our VERY limited ability, inside a biological body, to perceive “reality” in the physical universe. What we actually “see” with our eyes is only a very, very tiny sliver of the entire electromagnetic spectrum of phenomena that exist in the physical universe. This film showed me a LOT more than I ever imagined! It is as though I am able to look through the “eyes” on an extraterrestrial space craft pilot, visiting Earth from another star! It makes me wonder…. what if I could perceive the ENTIRE electromagnetic spectrum? How different would my point of view of “reality” become? If I were not inhabiting a biological body, could I “see” all of this phenomena with my “disembodied eyes”? I wonder…..
